Thirty-three persons participated in the Pigeon Island National Landmark (PINL) Free Guided Tour on 22nd February, 2014. It was the first in a series of guided heritage tours being staged by the Saint Lucia National Trust (SLNT). The main objectives of this initiative are to engender a greater sense of pride and appreciation for our heritage and to encourage greater use of our heritage sites for a myriad of purposes including recreational, relaxation and educational. It is anticipated that the free guided tours will help participants to get a better understanding of the Trust and its conservation mandate, and the need for more persons to join in this effort.
